Children

CHILDREN, GRADES K-5 , currently worship in the sanctuary with their parents at 10:30 am. They are dismissed for a class geared to this age group during the Preaching Hour, which is approximately 11:30am.

Occasionally this schedule is altered, if the service goes in a different direction. A message will be flashed on the screen, if the children should be released to their class “before or during worship.”

Teaching units are shared by a team of at least four lead teachers each month. Although the children do not have the same teacher each Sunday, we do try to maintain a coordinated study, with a clear understanding of the same classroom rules.

Our goal is to offer sound Biblical teaching, a loving and caring atmosphere for learning and receiving, and personal ministry. Our Teaching Power Point is “driven home” by using three or four teaching methods each Sunday, such as: Bible Story, Memory Verse, Review Game, Puppet Show, Drama, Application Story, Learning Project, Song, etc. The children are always served a snack. Teachers should be notified if your child cannot partake, or if your child has a particular need.

Parents may volunteer to assist the teaching team.

PRESCHOOL CHILDREN have a class on their Grade Level during the Preaching Hour, which includes Snack, Bible Stories, Bible Learning Activities, Games, Singing, Prayer, etc. These precious little ones may remain in the sanctuary with their parents during the worship, or may be in the Baby Nursery the first hour, as workers are available.

BABY NURSERY workers are assigned and available during the preaching hour during the Morning Service, 11:30 - 12:30. Most parents desire to keep their babies with them during Worship. However, our Baby Nursery Room is open for the convenience of the parent, when a child needs to be taken out during the Worship Hour. Our goal is to provide a loving, caring atmosphere and a positive enriching experience for each baby that attends. Parents may volunteer as assistants on a regular monthly basis.
